Gillian Lock

Gillian Lock graduated in Architecture (Master of Arts) from Princeton University, U.S.A. in 1985. She started her career in Architectural and Urban Design in Boston and then New York City where she qualified as an Architect, working on major projects in Manhattan and other urban centres around the U.S.
Career Background
After spending twelve years in the U.S., Gillian returned to London working in Project and Design management, eventually being appointed to the Board of Directors of BDG McColl, a subsidiary of WPP. She ran offices in London, Bristol, Edinburgh, and Budapest, also opening a new project office in Kuala Lumpur.
RTB Expertise
With her international experience in project and team management within the construction industry, Gillian became increasingly interested in team and executive coaching and the challenges inherent in the relationship between an individual, the role and the organization. Her particular interest is the psychological well-being of the individual and the impact the individual and the organization have on each other.
Qualifications and Training
To further her understanding Gillian obtained an M.A. in Psychotherapy from Regent’s College in 2000 focusing on the psycho-dynamic approach and then undertook a further 2 year post-graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy in 2003. She is now a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist with the U.K.C.P and a member of the B.A.C.P. and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
