Law Networking Skills Event A Resounding Success
January 9, 2012

8 professional bodies pulled together to organise a networking skills evening in Edinburgh for 160 people. Guest speaker Fraser Murray from “Rock The Boat Consulting” led a fun evening where skills were developed and practised in an evening to remember. Feedback suggests that delegates got huge benefits from attending.
“Great to meet you last night and thanks for making the event so inspiring.
No doubt your Linkedin has been red hot!”
Michael Cockburn - FCIBS
“I attended the networking event you ran on 30 Nov in Edinburgh and LOVED it!
I feel so much more confident about networking now. Thank you.”
Becky Colegrave - Bank of Scotland
“Fraser, your Networking talk at the Royal Scots Hotel yesterday in Edinburgh was fascinating and I really enjoyed putting your tips to practice.”
Richmond Davies – RGU
“Thank you for your seminar last night which I very much appreciated. You brought great energy and enthusiasm to the event which created a good atmosphere. And I did think my networking rating went up a couple of notches as a result!”
Pamela Lyall - Director of Mediation Services, Core Solutions
During the session Fraser covered:
• Confidence and preparation including clothing, mind-set and goals
• YOUR 30 SECOND COMMERCIAL pre-planned personal greeting
• How to work a room
• How to remember names
• How to make a lasting impression
• How to introduce yourself, your company and your USP, and HOW not to!
• How to gracefully exit someone’s company!
• How to develop networking into new customers, and how to follow up
• And the one big secret of successful networking!
To round off the evening delegates spent a minimum of half an hour practicing their skills and developing their network. Many stayed for 2 hours networking! At £20 per head it was clearly value for money.
