Peter Braidwood

Peter Braidwood is a training and development specialist with more than 20 years experience of working with people from all walks of life. His background was initially in the outdoor training and learning sector before moving onto general training roles within the Scottish Police Service and the Higher Education sector. He has designed and delivered creative and meaningful team development programmes, both indoors and outdoors, with an emphasis on the direct transfer of learning back to the workplace through on-going support and coaching.

Having spent over 15 years working in a variety of senior outdoor training and development roles for the Outward Bound Trust in Scotland, New Zealand and the USA, Peter’s proven coaching and leadership skills from the outdoor sector have been successfully transferred to the world of training and development.

Peter has a plethora of qualifications which have enabled him to develop and enhance his training career – such as a MBA degree. Additional qualifications and training include: the Diploma in Training Management (Chartered CIPD), Myers Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner (OPP), NLP Practitioner, Logo Visual Thinking Practitioner and the Belbin Team Roles Accredited Provider.

Peter’s outdoor qualifications include Mountain Leadership, Kayaking and Canoeing Coaching, Dinghy Coaching and Yachtmaster Instructor. Peter is also an Accredited Practitioner of the Institute of Outdoor Learning
